AcuFocus (Irvine, CA) a commercial-stage medical device company focused on corneal inlays for near-vision loss, closed a $40M Series F financing. Participants include Medtronic, SV Life Sciences, Versant Ventures, Carlyle Group, Accuitive Medical Ventures and Bausch & Lomb.

TransEnterix (San Diego, CA) a clinical-stage medical device company focused on laparoscopic systems for abdominal surgery, closed a $15M Series B financing. Participants include Aisling Capital, Quaker BioVentures, Intersouth Partners, Synergy Life Science Partners and SV Life Sciences.

Catabasis Pharmaceuticals (Cambridge, MA) a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on fatty acid conjugated compounds for severe hypertriglyceridemia, diabetes, inflammatory and metabolic diseases, closed a $8M Series A financing bringing total round to $47.6M. Participants include SV Life Sciences, Clarus Ventures, MedImmune Ventures and Advanced Technology Ventures.

TopiVert (United Kingdom) a development-stage pharmaceutical company focused on topical medicines for inflammatory diseases of the eye and gut, closed a $12.5M Series A financing. Participants include Imperial Innovations Group and SV Life Sciences.
