Participants include Delphi Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, HealthCare Ventures, Anthem Capital and Greenspring Associates.

Tesaro (Boston, MA) a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical focused on chemotherapy induced nausea and non-small cell lung cancer, closed a $101M Series B financing. Participants include New Enterprise Associates, InterWest Partners, T. Rowe Price, Pappas Ventures, Oracle Partners, Deerfield Capital Management and Leerink Swann.

VertiFlex (San Clamente, CA) a clinical-stage medical device company focused on percutaneous and motion preserving spinal surgery technologies, closed a $14M Series E financing. Participants include New Enterprise Associates, Aberdare Ventures, Alta Partners and Thomas, McNerney & Partners.

BridgePoint Medical (Minneapolis, MN) a clinical-stage medical device company focused on interventional cardiology for access to and treatment of chronic total occlusions, closed a $9.1M Series C financing. Participants include New Enterprise Associates, Polaris Venture Partners and Foundation Medical Partners.

Omthera Pharmaceuticals (Bedminster, NJ) a clinical-stage specialty biopharma company focused on an Omega-3 fatty acid containing DHA and EPA as a therapy for dyslipidemia, closed a $33.9M Series B financing. Participants include New Enterprise Associates and Sofinnova Ventures.

Ulthera (Mesa, AZ) a commercial-stage medical device company focused on ultrasound technology in the aesthetics market, closed a $10.5M Series C financing. Participants include New Enterprise Associates and Apposite Capital.

23andMe (Mountain View, CA) a commercial-stage personalized genomics company focused on aiding individuals with DNA analysis technologies and web-based interactive tools, closed a $22M Series C financing. Trevena (Berwyn, PA) a clinical-stage small molecule company focused on G-protein coupled receptor targeting for heart failure and pain, closed a $35M Series B funding from existing investors.
