MedLumics (Spain) a development-stage diagnostic device company focused on optical coherence tomography imaging for ophthalmology and intravascular imaging in cardiology, dermatology and dentistry, closed a $3.25M Series A financing. Participants include Ysios Capital Partners and Caixa Capital.

U-Systems (Sunnyvale, CA) a clinica-stage medical device company focused on automated breast ultrasound technology, closed a $6.5M Series D financing. Participants include iD SoftCapital Group, Lumira Capital, Radius Ventures and Sycamore Ventures.

Nexstim (Finland) a commercial-stage developer of non-invasive brain imaging technologies focused on cortical mapping prior to surgery, closed a $2.8M Series D financing, bringing the total round to $19.2M. Participants include Capricorn Health-tech Fund, Tekes, HealthCap, Sitra, Finnish Industry Investment, Lundbeckfond Ventures and Ilmarinen.

PhysioSonics (Seattle, WA) a development-stage device company focused on ultrasound imaging to monitor blood flow in the brain, closed a $3.6M Series B financing. Participants include Medtronic.

Crysalin (United Kingdom) a development-stage biotechnology company focused on 3D protein structure determination, closed a $2.4M series A financing. Participants include IP Group, Oxford Technology Management and Oxford Spin-Out Equity Management.

Sofie Biosciences (Carpinteria, CA) a commercial-stage molecular imaging device focused on PET instrumentation and microfluidics, closes a $2M Series A financing. Participants include Cycad Group.

SuperSonic Imagine (France) a commercial-stage medical device thearagnotic imaging company focused on the ultrasound visualization and measurement of tissue elasticity, closed a $25M Series C financing. Participants include Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners, Auriga Partners, Credit Agricole Private Equity, NBGI Ventures, BioAm, Wellington Partners Venture Capital and iXO Private Equity.

Delphinus Medical Technologies (Detroit, MI) a development-stage medical device company focused on tomographic ultrasound imaging for breast cancer, closed an $8M Series A financing. Participants include Arboretum Ventures, Beringea and North Coast Technology Investors.

ActiView (Israel) a development-stage medical device company focused on optical guidance systems for use in CT fluoroscopy and MRI procedures, closed a $5M Series B financing. Participants include7 Health Ventures, Ofer HiTech and Evergreen Venture Partners.
