Daktari Diagnostics (Boston, MA) a development-stage point-of-care molecular diagnostics company using microfluidic chromatography and lysate impedance spectrospcopy for a CD4 cell counter device, closed a $2.8M Series A financing. Participants include Partners Innovation Fund, Mass Medical Angels, Norwich Ventures, Launchpad Venture Group, Hub Angels Investment Group and Boston Harbor Angels.

Probe Scientific (United Kingdom) a commercial-stage medical device company focused on a platform for the automated monitoring of substances (such as electrolytes, metabolites, amino acids and hormones) in circulating blood without withdrawing blood, closed a $1.6M Series A financing. Participants include Catapult Venture Managers.

Glucon (Boulder, CO) developer of a blood glucose measurement system raised an undisclosed amount of Series D funding. The deal was led by the 3i Group and was joined by Sequel Venture Partners, Quest Capital Partnership, Hunt Ventures and previous investors Aurum Ventures, Giza Venture Capital, MKI, Infinity Venture Capital Fund and Ascend Technology Ventures.

Claros Diagnostics (Woburn, MA) is developing a handheld disease monitoring device that allows anyone to perform laboratory-quality blood tests in any setting, has closed a $7.8M Series A financing. The round was led by Oxford Bioscience Partners along with, Accelerated Technologies Partners, and Commons Capital.
