Advanced Animal Diagnostics (Durham, NC) a commercial-stage developer of farm animal diagnostics focused on the detection of mastitis in dairy cows, closed a $11M Series B financing. Participants include Intersouth Partners and Novartis Venture Funds.

HTG (Tuscon, AZ) a commercial-stage molecular technology company focused on gene expression profiling, miRNA and mRNA measurement, translational medicine and diagnostic applications, closed a $15.7M Series D financing. Participants include Novo Ventures, Fletcher Spaght Ventures, Merck Capital Ventures, Solstice Capital and Valley Ventures.

23andMe (Mountain View, CA) a commercial-stage personalized genomics company focused on aiding individuals with DNA analysis technologies and web-based interactive tools, closed a $22M Series C financing. Participants include Johnson & Johnson Development Corp, New Enterprise Associates, Google Ventures and MPM Capital.

Gene Security Network (Redwood City, CA) a commercial-stage pre-implementation genetic diagnosis platform focused on in vitro fertilization analysis, closed a $12M Series C financing. Participants include Sequoia Capital, Claremont Creek Ventures, Founders Fund and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

MTM Laboratories (Germany) a commercial-stage molecular diagnostics company focused on cervical cancer, closed on a $9M Series C financing bringing the total round to $65M. Participants include Gilde Healthcare Partners, LBBW Venture Capital, HBM BioVentures and HBM BioCapital.

Nine Point Medical (Cambridge, MA) a development-stage medical device and diagnostic company focused on optical technologies for real-time in vivo pathology decision making, closed a $33M Series A financing. Participants include Third Rock Ventures and Prospect Venture Partners.

Biodesix (Broomfield, CO) a commercial-stage personalized medicine company focused on diagnostic products that inform treatment decisions and patient care, whose initial product, VeriStrat, predicts response to the targeted therapy erlotinib in patients with advanced NSCLC, closed a $7.1M Series C financing. Participants were not identified.

Pathwork Diagnostics (Redwood City, CA) a commercial-stage molecular diagnostics company focused on tumor RNA expression patterns, closed a $30M Series C financing, it announced. Participants include Alta Partners, Abingworth, Advent Venture Partners, Novus Ventures, Prospect Venture Partners and Venrock.

Boston Heart Lab (Framingham, MA) a commercial-stage diagnostics company focused on lipid-based testing for cardiovascular disease management, closed a $10M Series C financing. Participants include Bain Capital Ventures.

Lineagen (Salt Lake City, UT) a development stage content-based biomarker discovery company focused on diagnostic tests for autism, multiple sclerosis and COPD, closed a $5M Series A, bringing the total round to $10.8M. Participants include PrairieGold Venture Partners, vSpring Capital, Sanderling Ventures and Mesa Verde Venture Partners.

Metamark Genetics (Cambridge, MA) a development-stage molecular diagnostics company focused on prognostic assays for early-stage cancers, closed a $22M Series B financing. Participants may have included Perseus.

Molecular Detection (Wayne, PA) a commercial-stage molecular diagnostics company focused on MRSA detection, closed a $1.4M Series C financing, bringing the total round to $4.7M. Participants include MentorTech Ventures.

SynapDx (Waltham, MA) a development-stage diagnostic company focused on the early detection of autism, closed a $9M Series A financing. Participants include Bain Capital Ventures, General Catalyst Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners.
