CardioVascular Systems (St. Paul, MN) is working to provide a safer more effective atherectomy device for peripheral artery disease closed a $11.22M traunche of a intended $22M Series B. Participants include Easton Hunt Capital Partners and Maverick Capital.

CyberHeart (Menlo Park, CA) a medical device company developing the first totally non-invasive system to treat cardiac arrhythmias closed a $9M Series A financing. Participants include Emergent Medical Ventures, and United Investments, Venture Select and Mitsubishi Corporation.

CoreValve (Irvine, CA) is a medical device company introducing a percutaneous revalving system to replace failing aortic heart valves without surgical access closed a $33M Series C financing. The deal was led by Maverick Capital other participants included Apax Partners, HealthCap and Sofinnova Partners.

Transoma Medical (St. Paul, MN) maker of implantable wireless monitoring systems for patients with chronic cardiovascular disease closed a $13M Series C financing. The deal was led by Canaan Partners, Affinity Capital Management and Polaris Venture Partners.

CicuLite (Hackensack, NJ) a medical device company focused on the development of a proprietary circulatory assist technology for the management of chronic heart failure, closed a $20M Series B. Investors included Forbion Capital Partners, Oxford Biosciences Partners, Foundation Medical Partners, and SB Life Science Ventures.

iRhythm Technologies (San Francisco, CA) is developing a next-generation cardiac-rhythm monitoring device has raised a Series A financing of $12.5M from Mohr Davidow Ventures and Synergy Venture Partners.

InnerPulse (Research Triangle Park, NC) a developer of implantable defibrillators raised $50M in a Series C financing. Investors included Johnson & Johnson Development Corp., Medtronic, Synergy Life Science Partners, Ascent Biomedical Ventures, Delphi Ventures and Frazier Healthcare Ventures.

Ovalis (Mountain View, CA) a developer of catheter-based products for repairing cardiac defects, has raised around $6.6 million in Series B funding. Return backers include Abbott Labs, De Novo Ventures and Latterell Venture Partners.
