ViewRay (Gainesville, FL)  maker of  a MRI-guided radio-therapy delivery device, closed a $25M Series B financing. Participants include OrbiMed, Fidelity Biosciences, Aisling Capital, Kearny and Venture Partners.

Regado Biosciences (Durham, NC) a biopharmaceutical company with a platform oligonucleotide drug-antidote pairing system focused upon the anticoagulant market has closed a $23M Series C financing. The deal was led by Caxton Advantage Life Sciences, Domain Associates, Quaker BioVentures and Aurora Funds.

MAKO Surgical (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) developer of a guidance system that aids in surgery for early-stage osteoarthritis of the knee raised $30 million in Series C funding. Investors included Tudor Investment Corp., Ziegler Meditech Equity Partners, The Exxel Group, MDS Capital, Aperture Venture Partners, Ivy Healthcare Capital and Sycamore Ventures.

AlphaVax (Durham, NC) a developer of vaccine products for infectious diseases (influenza & cytomegalovirus lead), biodefense and cancer, has raised approximately $12.65 million in Series E funding. Investors have not been disclosed.

InnerPulse (Research Triangle Park, NC) a developer of implantable defibrillators raised $50M in a Series C financing. Investors included Johnson & Johnson Development Corp., Medtronic, Synergy Life Science Partners, Ascent Biomedical Ventures, Delphi Ventures and Frazier Healthcare Ventures.

Tigris Pharmaceuticals (Bonita, FL) developer of oncology therapies raised approximately $16M in a Series B financing. The round was led by NGN Capital along with Wexford Capital and Bushido Capital Partners.

Kolis Scientific (Morrisville, NC) is developing an outpatient-based treatment for a common ophthalmic condition, has closed a $15.1M Series A financing led by Quaker BioVentures, De Novo Ventures and Spray Venture Partners.

NovaVision (Boca Raton, FL) a non-invasive device that may restore vision loss in stroke and traumatic brain injury patients has raised $20M in Series C. The deal was led by Chicago Growth Partners and included Johnson & Johnson Development Corp., Oakwood Medical Investors, Tullis-Dickerson, Noro-Moseley Partners, Crossbow Ventures.
