Confirma (Bellevue, WA) maker of MRI detection technology closed a $17.5M Series C. Participants include Telegraph Hill Partners, Fluke Venture Partners, Prism Ventureworks and Versant Ventures.

Calisotga Pharma (Seattle, WA) a biopharmaceutical company developing multiple compounds selectively targeting the PI3K pathway, a pathway known to be involved in certain cancers and inflammatory diseases closed a $26.2M Series A financing. Participants include Frazier Healthcare Venture, Alta Partners, Three Arch Partners, Amgen Ventures and Lilly Ventures.

Aushon Biosystems (Burlington, MA) provides advanced microarray technologies to life science research, drug discovery, development and clinical diagnostics closed on a $4M traunche $7M Series B. Participant was North Bridge Venture Partners.

ProteoGenix (Portland, OR) a diagnostics company utilizing high-throughput protein analysis techniques to identify protein biomarkers for pregnancy-related complications closed a $20M Series B round. The financing was led by New Leaf Venture Partners, TPG Growth and Burrill and Company.

Spaltudaq (Seattle, WA) is focused on developing tumor-specific therapeutic antibodies for the treatment of cancer and infectious disease raised $29M in a Series B financing. The round was led by Arch Venture Partners and was joined by Canaan Partners, Healthcare Ventures, Amgen Ventures, MPM Capital and Alexandria Equities.

VentiRx Pharmaceuticals (Seattle, WA) a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of medicines for the treatment of cancer and infectious, respiratory and autoimmune diseases, raised a $26.6M Series A round. The deal was led by Frazier Healthcare Ventures, ARCH Venture Partners and Domain Associates.

Calistoga Pharmaceuticals (Seattle, WA) a drug development startup focused on oncology and inflammation raised a $21M Series A. The deal was led by Frazier Healthcare Ventures and was joined by Alta Partners, Three Arch Partners and Amgen Ventures.

Chimerix (Seattle, WA) is applying its technology to the treatment of smallpox, cytomegalovirus infection, drug-resistant HIV infection, viral hepatitis, and macular degeneration, has closed $23.1M in Series D funding. Canaan Partners led the deal, and was joined by Alta Partners and return backers Sanderling Ventures, Asset Management Company and Frazier Healthcare Ventures.

Calistoga (Seattle, WA) a spinout of Icos, is developing compounds targeting p110 delta for cancer, inflammatory and autoimmune indications raised $21M in a series A round. The financing was led by Frazier Healthcare Ventures and Alta Partners and joined by Three Arch Partners and Amgen Ventures.

Omeros (Seattle, WA) a biopharmaceutical company focused on improving joint function following arthroscopic surgeries raised $63M in a Series E financing. Investors included Aravis Ventures, Arch Venture Partners, American Financial Group, Grosvenor Funds, Novartis Venture Fund, Southern Cross Capital, Stanley Medical Research Institute, and Trevi Health Ventures.

Blue Heron Biotechnology (Bothell, WA) a provider of gene synthesis services raised approximately $3.7M in Series D funding. Participants include Crabtree Ventures, Integra Ventures and Invitrogen.

EyeGate Pharma (Waltham, MA) a pharmaceutical company pioneering the use of iontophoresis technology to deliver therapeutics for ocular indications, announced that it has closed on a $2M extension of its Series B, bringing the total of the financing to $12M.
