Qwell Pharmaceuticals (Seattle, WA) a stealthy start-up biotechnology company devoted to small-molecule development primarily for oncology indications, closed a $7M Series A financing. Participants include Arch Venture Partners and Wellcome Trust.

Healionics (Redmond, WA) an early-stage biomaterial surface coating and tissue regeneration company closed a $2.6M Series B financing. Participants include Bellingham Angels, Alliance of Angels, Keiretsu, Tacoma Angel Network and Zino Society.

Cocrystal Discovery (Seattle, WA) developer of antiviral therapeutics for the treatment of serious and chronic viral diseases, closed a $10M Series A financing. Participants include The Frost Group.
