ConforMIS (Burlington, MA) a commercial-stage medical device company focused on personalized resurfacing implants, osteoarthritis treatment and joint damage, closed a $50M Series D financing. Participants include Aeris Capital and previous investors.

NanoString Technologies (Seattle, WA) a commercial-stage developer of instrumentation and assays for multiplexed detection and quantification of gene expression, closed a $30M Series C financing. Participants include Clarus Ventures, OVP Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.

Pathway Medical Technologies (Kirkland, WA) development-stage medical company focused on peripheral-arterial disease, closed a $42.5M Series D financing. Participants include HLM Venture Partners, Latterell Venture Partners, Oxford Bioscience Partners, Forbion Capital Partners, Giza Venture Capital and WRF Capital.

MediQuest Therapeutics (Bothell, WA) a late-stage specialty pharmaceutical company focused on inflammatory and infectious diseases such as Raynaud’s, nail psoriasis and actinic keratosis, closed a $23M Series B financing. Participants were not named however, Series A participants included Novo Ventures, Janus, Integra Ventures and Masa Life Science Fund.

Calistoga Pharmaceuticals (Seattle, WA) a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the PI3 kinase pathway in oncology and inflammatory disease, closed a $30M Series B financing. Participants include Alta Partners, Amgen Ventures, Frazier Healthcare and Three Arch Partners.

XORI (Seattle, WA) a development-stage company focused on a technology for the rapid discovery and development of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies for oncology, immune disorders and infectious disease, closed a $3M Series A financing. Participants include Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Amgen Ventures, ARCH Venture Partners, OVP Venture Partners, PPD, and WRF Capital.

MolecularMD (Portland, OR) a molecular diagnostics company specializing in genomic assays to measure patient response and resistance to targeted cancer therapies focused on Chronic myelogenous leukemia, closed a $3M Series A financing. Participants include Ballast Point Ventures.

Qwell Pharmaceuticals (Seattle, WA) a stealthy start-up biotechnology company devoted to small-molecule development primarily for oncology indications, closed a $7M Series A financing. Participants include Arch Venture Partners and Wellcome Trust.

Healionics (Redmond, WA) an early-stage biomaterial surface coating and tissue regeneration company closed a $2.6M Series B financing. Participants include Bellingham Angels, Alliance of Angels, Keiretsu, Tacoma Angel Network and Zino Society.

Cocrystal Discovery (Seattle, WA) developer of antiviral therapeutics for the treatment of serious and chronic viral diseases, closed a $10M Series A financing. Participants include The Frost Group.
