Kenta Biotech (Switzerland) clinical-stage developer of antibacterial and antiviral antibodies targeting Pseudomonas aeruginosa caused nosocomial pneumonia closed a $10M Series B financing. Participants in this round have not been identified.

NanoBio (Ann Arbor, MI) a clinical-stage company focused on topical antiinfectives and mucosal vaccines for the treatment and prevention of herpes labialis, onychomycosis, acne and cystic fibrosis closed a $12M Series B financing. Participants include Perseus.

Rib-X Pharmaceuticals (New Haven, CT) a clinical-stage small molecule drug discovery company developing antiinfectives against community acquired pneumonia, chronic bronchitis and complicated skin infections, closed a $25M Series D financing. Participants include Warburg Pincus, ABS Ventures, Axiom Ventures, EuclidSR Partners, MedImmune Ventures, Oxford Bioscience Partners, SR One and Vox Equity Partners.

TaiGen Biotechnology (Taiwan) a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of infectious diseases, diabetic complications and cancer, closed a $37M Series C financing. Participants incldue MPM Capital, National Development Fund, YFY Group, Taiwan Sugar Corp., Yao-Hua Glass Management Commission and Taiwan Global BioFund.

Lytix Biopharma (Norway) pre-clinical developer of lytic peptide drugs for the treatment of resistant bacterial, fungal infections and tumor progression, closed a $10.4M Series D financing.
Participants in financings have included Picasso Kapital, Såkorninvest Nord, Norinnova, Sparebanken Nord-Norge Invest, Serepta, Rekdal, Svendsen, Norinnova Invest and Taj Holding.

Semprus BioSciences (Cambridge, MA) an early-stage biomaterial surface coating company closed a $8M Series A financing. Participants include 5AM Ventures and Panagea Ventures.

Jado Technologies (Germany) early-stage developer of small molecule allergy and antiinfective therapeutics, closed a $4.9M Series B financing. Participants include Peppermint Financial Partners, NRW Bank, Dresden Fonds, EMBL Ventures, ERP-Startfonds, Max Planck Society and MASA Life Science Ventures.

GangaGen (Palo Alto, CA) developer of bacteriophage-based products to treat bacterial infections, closed a $5.4M Series E financing. Participants include ATEL Ventures, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. and ICF Ltd..

Lumavita (Switzerland) early-stage specialty biopharmaceutical company focused on antiinfectives for women’s health, closed a $16M Series A financing. Participants include Atlas Ventures, BB Biotech Ventures, and BioMedInvest.

Myconostica (Manchester, England) early-stage company focused on the treatment of Pneumocystis and Aspergillus infections, closed a $9.7M Series A financing. Participants include Nexus Medical Partners, Innoven Partenaires, Medicis Ventures and Amphion Innovations.
