NABsys (Providence, RI) a development-stage company focused on polymerase-free solid-state electronic detection DNA sequencing free of amplification or labeling focused point-of-care clinical use, closed a $7M Series B financing. Merus (Netherlands) a preclinical-stage biopharmaceutical focused on antibody product candidates against targets in oncology, inflammation and infectious disease, closed a $30.7M Series B financing. Participants include Novartis Option Fund, Pfizer, Bay City Capital, Life Sciences Partners and Aglaia Biomedical Ventures.

Kolltan Pharmaceuticals (New Haven, CT) a development-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on monoclonal antibody oncology therapeutics, closed a $8.5M Series B financing. Participants include Celtic Therapeutics Holdings and Tichenor Ventures.

Alnara Therapeutics (Cambridge, MA) a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on liprotamase, a pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy, for the treatment of pancreatic insufficiency associated with cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, pancreatectomy and other pancreatic conditions, closed a $35M Series B financing. Participants include MPM Capital, Third Rock Ventures, Frazier Healthcare and Bessemer Venture Partners.

PhaseBio Pharmaceuticals (Research Triangle Park, NC) a development-stage biopharma company focused on elastin-like fusion proteins for improved expression and purification of biological, closed a $25M Series B financing. Participants include New Enterprise Associates, Hatteras Venture Partners, Johnson & Johnson Development Corp. and Fletcher Spaght Ventures.

Forma Therapeutics (Cambridge, MA) a development-stage screening and discovery company focused on cancer therapies, closed a $25.5M Series B financing. Participants include Lilly Ventures, Novartis Option Fund and Bio*One Capital.
