Athena Feminine Technologies (Orinda, CA) a commercial stage medical device company focused on female incontinence, closed a $2M Series A financing. Participants include vSpring Capital.

Medsphere Systems (Carlsbad, CA) a commercial-stage developer of electronic health records software, closed a $12M Series C financing. Participants include Azure Capital Partners, Epic Ventures, Thomas Weisel Venture Partners and Western Technology Investment.

PrimeraDx (Mansfield, MA) a development-stage molecular diagnostics company focused on automated multiplexed assays of infectious disease testing in immune compromised patients undergoing solid organ and bone marrow transplant, closed a $20M Series C financing. Participants include CHL Medical Partners, Abingworth, InterWest Partners, Malaysian Technology Development Corporation, MPM Capital, Burrill & Co. and Invus.

Micell Technologies (Raleigh, NC) a development-stage medical device company focused on a fluid-based drug eluting stents for the interventional cardiology market, closed a $15M Series B financing. Participants to date have included St.Jude Medical, Invemed Catalyst Fund and GE.

Sleep Solutions (Glen Burnies, MD) a commercial-stage medical device and diagnostics company focused on obstructive sleep apnea, closed a $20M Series F financing. Participants include Quaker BioVentures, Johnson & Johnson Dev Corp., TPG Growth, MedVenture Associates, Emergent Ventures and Lava Ventures.

Humedica (Boston, MA) a development stage bioinformatics company focused on clinical analytics and intelligence, closed a $30M Series A financing. Participants include Bain Capital Ventures, General Catalyst Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners, and Leerink Swann.

Gamma Medica-Idea (Northridge, CA) developer of digital molecular imaging devices for the research and clinical imaging markets, closed a $14M Series A financing. Participants include Psilos Group and Capital Resource Partners.

Zogenix (San Diego, CA) a clinical-stage drug:device company focused on a needle-free delivery system of chronic pain therapeutic, closed a $51M Series B financing. Participants include Clarus Ventures, Domain Associates, Scale Venture Partners, Thomas, McNerney & Partners, Oxford Finance and Abingworth Management.

Agendia (The Netherlands) a commercial-stage molecular diagnostics company focused on gene expression profiling and patient stratification in breast and colon cancers, closed a $25M Series E financing. Participants have included ING, Van Herk Biotech, Gilde Healthcare Partners and Global Life Science Ventures.

LS9 (San Carlos, CA) a development-stage biofuels company focused on synthetic biology fermentation approach to convert renewable feedstocks to petroleum equivalents, closed a $25M Series C financing. Participants include CTTV Investments, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Flagship Ventures and Khosla Ventures.

Cytoo (France) a commercial-stage provider of adhesive micropattern-based chips, plates and chambers for cell analyses, closed a $4.7M Series B financing. Participants include Auriga Partners and CEA Investissement.

Neuronetics (Malvern, PA) a commercial-stage medical device company focused on transcranial magnetic neuromodulation for psychiatric and neurological disorders, closed a $36M Series D financing. Participants include New Leaf Venture Partners, Investor Growth Capital, Quaker BioVentures, Three Arch Partners, Onset Ventures, Interwest Partners and KBL Healthcare Ventures.
